WATCH Committee

The WATCH Committee (Working All Together Caring & Helping through the Cross) was set up by the Kirk Session in 1991 with the specific remit to support and raise awareness of local charities. Since then the committee has raised funds for many local causes including:

The charity chosen by the WATCH Committee in 2015 was The Yard Adventure Centre, which is raising funds to upgrade their playground equipment.

During the latter half of 2015 the Committee organised a summer coin collection, a Craft Coffee Morning, a quiz and a Christmas Fair with wonderful support from the Congregation, the Blackhall community and local businesses.

In January 2016, in front of the Congregation, a cheque for £11,100 was handed over to Anna Robinson, Fundraising Officer from The Yard. The Committee is grateful to all those individuals and organisations who continue to support our fund-raising activities resulting in over £240,000 being raised for local charities since 1992.
