WATCH Committee

The WATCH (Working All Together Caring & Helping) Committee was set up by the Kirk Session in 1991 to raise money and awareness for local charities. The committee has funds for, and awareness ofr various causes including: Capability Scotland, Cystic Fibrosis, Down's Syndrome, Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson's Disease and the Rock Trust.

The most recent charity that we supporte was Erskine Edinburgh Home (registered Scottish Charity No: SC006609) who were building an extension to increase the number of places providing specialist care for ex-Service men and women in the Edinburgh and East of Scotland area. The committee organised a summer coin collection,a Craftt & Coffee Morning and a Christmas Fair, proceeds from these three events along with some individual donations enabled them to give £10,000 to the charity.

Since its inception in 1992 the WATCH Committee has given over £140,000 to local charities in accordance with the remit of the Kirk Session.
