Tuesday Topics

As we did last year, we will meet monthly in the Small Hall at 7.30 pm. Weh ope our regular attenders will come again and hope to welcome anyone(both men and women) who would like to join us. The membership stays at £20 for the year or £3 per meeting if you just come occasionally. Talks usually last about 45 minutes and then after questions, we have a cup of tea or coffee.

Do come and meet new friends. You don’t need to be a member of the church to come. We welcome anyone from the local area who is looking for friendship and interesting talks.

• We start on Tuesday October 6th with a talk by Linda McDonald ‘All the Women’ (The story of MUMs Recipes – Malawi Underprivileged Mothers). This will be an update since the last time she spoke to us about 12 years ago.

• On November 3rd,  Dave Burke’s talk ‘Faraday Base, Antarctica 1981 –1984’ will be about the experiences he had when he worked there.

• On December 1st, Andrew Laing, senior keeper in the carnivore team, will speak about ‘Tiger introductions and breeding programmes at Edinburgh Zoo’.

We are also arranging our usual post-Christmas lunch in January.
